Moulds and zamak die casting
Italfeltri is specialized in the production of moulds for die-casting and in the production of components in Zamak. Being manufacturers of small parts and accessories for furniture and not only, having introduced this technology has allowed us to expand our product range. In fact, Zamak is not only wear-resistant but also able to withstand high loads. For example, many of the shelf supports we produce are made of this material.
Some information about Zamak
The name Zama (or Zamak) is made up of the German initials of the elements that compose it: Z (Zinc), A (Aluminum), MA (Magnesium), K (Kupfer – copper). If initially the use of ZAMA alloys was limited to some decorative applications, over time the advantages of this material has decreed its success in many other productions. Its strong point is that it is much stronger than plastics and at the same time allows very reduced dimensional tolerances in molding.
